Pompeii and the Greeks

The structure of the pavilion of Pompeii and the Greeks, already built in the north arm of the Palestra Grande of Pompeii for the exhibition dedicated to Pompeii and Egypt, was reused and modified according to a project by the architect Bernard Tschumi, who was responsible for the museum of Acropolis of Athens. The changes in the space have seen the insertion of large glazed openings to allow a view of the central courtyard. The exhibition space is divided into seven sections, marked by suspended veils that host texts, images or projections on both sides. Each section is characterized by a single color for the floor, the ceiling and the base of the MDF display cases, so that the visitor experiences a sensation of total chromatic immersion.

Along the way we find three multimedia projections created by the Canadian studio GeM.
