The exhibition itinerary of Pompeii and the Etruscans, which winds along the north portico of the Palestra Grande, reuses the self-supporting structure of the previous exhibition but updating and revising it with a new bright red flooring and creating wedge-shaped structures to separate the different sections, to give rhythm to the space and to welcome its didactic apparatus. The chromatic homogeneity breaks up in the central room shrouded in the half-light from which emerge, in a sort of black tunnel, a theory of clay antefixes illuminated from below, loaned by the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. The display cases are in painted MDF, with a plexiglass case.
