“Carthago” celebrates the origins of the famous city with several sections dedicated to the cities founded by the Phoenicians, including Carthage itself, and to their commercial and craft activities, among which the production of purple stood out. The invention of the alphabet and the expansion into the Mediterranean are two other important elements in the construction of the Phoenician myth and are highlighted through various works.
The exhibition is characterized by its chronological breadth and documentary richness and is further enhanced by the use of unpublished reconstructions and multimedia installations.
