The National Museum of Matera is enriched with a new permanent exhibition itinerary.
The voice of Tiresias, blind fortune teller of Greek mythology, will guide visitors on a multisensory journey, to discover finds related to mythological tales. For this purpose, some vases from Magna Graecia were reproduced in 3D printing to be explored with the hands and the sense of smell.
The path continues with a new arrangement of the Rizzon collection, an important heritage of forms, iconographies, compositions and manufacturing techniques: the scenes decorated on the vases narrate the main themes of ancient society and the life of men, from the relationship between man and woman, to conviviality and afterlife.
